We had a basic sound monitor with our first. It has died, so we've bought the angelcare ac1100 off a friend. She used to work in a baby store so she bought this one for next to nothing and it has never been used. She doesn't have any children. I doubt I'll use the video part of it but the two sensor mats will give me peace of mind as baby will be at the other end of the house.  |

Thank you! I knew you'd have some info for me. I thought maybe you'd think we were being overcautious new parents! My sister has an Angelcare mat as my nephew would only go to sleep on his front, so they thought it best to get, just to make sure. |

Do you know what, you can't be to cautious with your children. Do whatever you can to help you sleep at night I'm not a helicopter parent, but I certainly do my best to ensure my kids are safe and well |

Hi all,
It's gone a bit quiet on here lately - I do hope all is well with everyone.
When we went to our second antenatal class, one of the couples weren't there. This was on Saturday and we thought that they must just have had something else planned that day.
Yesterday I went to another class (just the fathers this time) and the instructor (not sure what to call her) said that the reason why they didn't come, was because they had their baby that day!
Baby is all okay, but still in hospital as he's premature.
Shocked my wife a bit as we don't think we're that prepared at all. Lots of shopping to do over the next few days me thinks!

Hi everyone,
I think that would give me a shock too Spencer, I guess we are really approaching that any day now stage!
I hope everyone is well and resting up. The first of the December babies could very well arrive sometime in November! x
